Instructions for Use and Care of Corn Bags:
Uses:
Heat up your bed instead of turning up the thermostat!
Place cornbag at foot of your bed under the covers and enjoy the heat!
Place warm cornbag in your lap when you're reading and getting a bit chilled.
Relax those neck muscles! Place warm cornbag on your neck and let the heat penetrate into your muscles.
Sore back? Lie down on it! Use warm or cold!
Menstrual cramps calm down when you place a warm corn bag on your abdomen.
Pull a muscle and advised to gently ice it? A cold cornbag is less harsh than an ice pack.
How to heat your cornbag:
Remove corn bag from plastic Ziplock bag.
Microwaves vary in power output, so start with heating corn bag for one a half minutes to two minutes on high power.
If you want it to be wamer, just increase time in microwaver.
The corn will not pop, but you can burn it if you leave it in too long.
Every microwave is slightly different, experiment to find the right amount of time for the right amount of warmth.
You can also heat the cornbag in the oven at 250C for 20 minutes.
New corn bags will initially feel somewhat moist after heating. As they age, the corn dries out and
they are always completely dry.
CAUTION: Corn bags can get quite hot. Do not overheat and place onto directly onto skin! This is especially important
if you have a medical condition where your skin does not detect the heat and burns are possible!
How to cool your corn bag:
Place in freezer to cool. I suggest you store it in the freezer in a plastic bag when not in use so it is available when you need it.
Corn bags will not hold cold as well as a bag of ice so are more suitable for short gentle cooling.
Care of corn bags:
Keep corn bags clean and dry. Do not put in washing machine. You can also buy machine washable
covers.
